OUR STORY
Anthologie Floristry is based in the rural village of Laughton near Lewes, East Sussex.
Hello and welcome to the website of Anthologie Floristry. My name is Ellie and I am the owner and Creative Director. The word “Anthologie” comes from the ancient Greek literally translated as “Collection of Flowers”. In modern times, it means a collection of poems or stories and I believe that flowers do tell a story through their beauty. They are all different and unique just like our customers.
I have always loved nature and the countryside and in 2015, myself and my family moved from the busy city of Brighton to the rural village of Laughton for a lifestyle change. I then attended the Sussex Flower School to achieve my dream of becoming a florist and Anthologie Floristry was born.
I am a big lover of all things vintage too and enjoy displaying my flowers in vintage vases and receptacles. I often pick up vintage items on my travels around antiques fairs, and from time to time will run a special workshop combining floristry with these vintage finds. I am passionate about flowers and love to inspire others to create their own designs in my floral workshops. These are bookable online and are accessible to anyone who simply loves flowers and wants to learn a new skill whilst exploring their creativity.
Workshops are provided in a relaxed, friendly environment in my studio where you will learn and create a beautiful design to take home with you.
We also create high quality, bespoke floral arrangements for all types of events including weddings, funerals, christenings, dinner parties and corporate to name a few.
Our sister company Crowning Blooms also hosts workshops for larger groups at any venue within Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
Our aim is to deliver your vision, whether it be eco friendly, naturalistic, vintage or classically sophisticated.
